Ludere-Wrapped ROMs, only $7.48 a serving!

Concertina Wired Shorts

Every day as of late, I play a little bit of CAPCOM's Breath of Fire Nintendo GameBoy Advance port on my confinement orange Securus tablet.

This thing right here.

Every day, I wonder what license scheme GitHub user 'tytydraco' used for Ludere, which helps people to bundle RetroArch (a software emulator for older video games) with a ROM (a 'dump' or copy of the read-only memory storage that games shipped on) and build a ready-to-play binary on Android devices.

Is there a clause that forbids people from making money on their work? Maybe a CC-BY-NC-SA license...? :')

This said, since I've been in prison, I've paid for and played a number of GBA games.

We've lost the option to write a ticket to suggest titles, so it's a wild guess what each week will bring; we just know it'll include at least one Nintendo GameBoy Advance title, wrapped for our pleasure.

This begets an interesting question: Am I now committing software piracy? Or am I enabling it through the purchase with funds passed through the Keefe Commissary Network (doing business as Access Corrections)?

🤔
Hmm...

💡
I got it! So, become a business serving prisons, and software piracy is overlooked by the most litigious video game company ever. Got it!
